About MarkMyGrades

MarkMyGrades started with one question every student asks before finals: “What do I need on this exam?” We now offer calculators for class grades, finals, tests, curves and GPA, including the grading scales used by universities in the US, Canada and Australia.

How we build our calculators

• Standard formulas. Every calculator uses the same weighted-average and grade-point math that schools use, and each page explains the formula with a worked example you can check by hand.
• Real grading scales. University calculators use the scale that school publishes. When a scale varies between schools, we say so.
• Private by design. Calculations run in your browser. Your grades are saved only on your own device so you can come back later, and they are never sent to us.

Not official advice

Results are estimates. Teachers can drop scores, curve exams or round differently, and universities publish the official GPA on your transcript. MarkMyGrades is independent and not affiliated with any school mentioned on this site.
