From one score to your class grade
A single test percentage isn’t your class grade. To combine several scores with their weights, use the grade calculator. If you’re a teacher grading a stack of tests, the teacher grader builds a full chart for any number of questions.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate my grade percentage?
Divide the points you earned by the points possible and multiply by 100. 42 out of 50 is 42 ÷ 50 × 100 = 84%.
What letter grade is 84%?
On the standard US scale 84% is a B (83–86%). On a 10-point scale with no plus or minus it is also a B (80–89%).
How many points do I need for an A?
The table under the result lists the minimum points for an A (90%), B (80%), C (70%) and D (60%) on your assignment.
Can I get more than 100%?
Yes, if there was extra credit. Enter the points you earned even if they are higher than the points possible.
